Motor & Drive System
· The Paddlewheel is actually propelling the paddle wheeler.
· The Paddlewheel is chain driven
from an 3 horse power electric DC motor with a continuous speed control in forward and reverse.
· The electric motor is powered
by a reliable 11 hp/ 5000watt electric start Diesel generator. This gives extra power to lighting and PA system.
· The Riverboat
can be equipped with a bow thruster if it needs to navigate in tight quarters.
Real Functioning Paddlewheel
The riverboat is very well suited for use on shallow water.
The bow and stern has a separate compartment for safety.
We
recommend using a diesel generator but we can also install a gasoline generator if requested.
A bow thruster can be added if the riverboat
needs to be able to make sharp turns.
Two Large Rudders Steer the Riverboat A Bow thruster is available to help steer in tight corners.
